July 27, 2010 SELLOUT Galaxy game is 1st at Red Bull Arena
HARRISON, NJ---The Los Angeles Galaxy have been a big draw each of the last three times they have played in New Jersey and their August 14 game against the New York Red Bulls will be no different.
The Red Bulls announced the game is a sellout, the first for at the 25,000 seat Red Bull Arena, which opened earlier this year.
The Galaxy-Red Bulls matchup in 2007, David Beckham’s first season in LA drew 66,237 to Giants Stadium. The following year, the marquee matchup attracted 46,754. Last season, the game drew a considerably smaller crowd of 23,238, which was still the Red Bulls’ largest crowd of the season.
The game will be shown on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports en Espanol.
