July 27, 2010 GOAL OF THE WEEK Padilla plays super sub for Chivas USA
The goal Chivas USA’s Jesus Padilla scored just seconds after coming in off the bench against Real Salt Lake been selected as the LA Soccer News Goal of the Week for the week ending July 25.
Padilla got the ball 30 yards out, took three touches and struck a shot right at RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando in the 70th. The usually sure-handed Rimando got a piece of the ball at the edge of the six-yard box, but could not control it and it finished up in the net.
