STREAK ENDS AT 10
USC hammered by Stanford 4-0

STANFORD, Calif.---Christen Press and Kelly O’Hara scored two goals as the streaking Stanford Cardinal snapped USC’s 10 game win streak, 4-0 at Cagan Stadium Friday night.

After a scoreless first half, No. 1 Stanford managed a flurry of goals against the Women of Troy to get the Pac-10 win.

Stanford got on the board in the 53rd minute when a hard shot by O’Hara was blocked by USC goalkeeper Kristin Olsen. Press was there to knick in the rebound.

A little more than two minutes later, Lindsay Taylor fed a ball from the right end line and O’Hara knocked it in at the far post.

O’Hara got her second goal in the 63rd minute, when her hard shot was topped in by a USC defender. Press’ second goal was a solo effort, as she took the ball downfield herself and scored from the top of the penalty area.

Olsen had a career-high 13 saves in the loss, making number of impressive saves including a one-on-one stop of a shot by Mariah Nogueira in the waning moments of the first half.

Stanford goalkeeper Kira Maker did not have to make a single save as the Trojans were outshot 34-6.

With the loss, USC moves to 10-4-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the Pac 10. Stanford remains undefeated at 14- (3-0 Pac 10).

The Women of Troy continue their Northern California road swing on Sunday when they face No. 17 California at 1 p.m.
