SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – After battling to a 1-1 tie in regulation time with the UCSB men’s soccer team, the Mexico U-20 National Team outshot the Gauchos, 3-1, in a penalty kick shootout on Friday night at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium in front of a crowd of 4,188.

Freshman Tawni Martino scored the first two goals of her collegiate career, including the game-winner in the 86th minute, to lift LMU to a 2-1 victory over Denver University in the home opener at Sullivan Field. Loyola Marymount University women's soccer head coach Joe Mallia has completed his recruiting for the 2010 season with the late-spring addition of three more players.
